The first thing to think about is the kind of sporting activity you’ll be wearing your bra for. It’s no use having something suitable for playing golf or doing some yoga in, if you plan to use it to go running. High impact sports need a high impact bra. Not only will the right bra be more comfortable and offer you the right level of support for your chosen activity, but it will also help prevent injury and stop breast tissue from breaking down too quickly.
We will soon have in stock Glamorise Sport’s new Adjustable Motion Control Bra. This bra is adjustable, so it gives more support when needed. It has a unique hook system on the straps, which allows you to adjust it for maximum support when participating in higher impact activities like running or tennis, and change it back again for walking, or your pilates class. It also has a two-way stretch back to move with you and prevent the bra from riding up.
Your sports bra should be made with high tech fabric, so it can wick moisture away from your body, keeping you cooler and fresher for longer. The right fabric will also ensure you’re more comfortable and prevent chaffing.
For bigger cup sizes, you should be wearing an underwired sports bra style, as these bras offer more support.

You should also look for styles with a deep back, and a lot of hooks, so it holds you firmly in place. The underbust band should provide a snug fit – not so tight that you’re unable to breath, but if it’s too loose, the bra won’t be offering you any support.
Once you know what activities you will be wearing your bra for, and you’ve found a suitable style, you need to know what size you are. Wearing the wrong size means the sports bra won’t be supporting you where you need it. Have a look at our measuring guide to get started.
