30 Years Of Sloggi

The Sloggi brand of underwear was founded in 1979 and is celebrating it's 30th Birthday.

Sloggi have printed a poster with 30 facts about Sloggi. Here are some of the facts that I found interesting.

• 640 sloggi briefs are produced every minute.
• The annual production of sloggi weighs 3,850 tons – equivalent weight of 21 Jumbo jets.
• 10 million sq metres of sloggi fabric are produced every year – equivalent to the size of 1,570 football pitches.
• A football pitch worth of cotton is used every 84 minutes on the sloggi production line.
• 4 million km of sloggi sewing yarn have been used to date – same as 12 times the distance between the earth and moon.
• 812,000km of raw threads are processed every 60 seconds – the distance from the earth to the moon and back.

Triumph Announces Inspiration Award Winner

The Triumph Inspiration Award was founded in 2008 as a design competition which challenges students from international design schools to create a show-piece set using an underwired bra and brief.

The competition is fiercely faught and this year the Triumph Inspiration Award was won by James Nolan, a 20-year-old from right here in the UK. His icon piece entitled “Odette and Odile”won him Euro 15,000 and a limited edition of the winning piece. Nolan’s piece will be adapted by Triumph’s design team, leading to a series production of the set, which will be sold at certain Triumph stores worldwide next year.

So look out for James Nolan inspired lingerie next year but in the meantime Amplebosom.com has a great selection of Triumph lingerie. Here are just a few of my favourites at the moment.
