Prosthesis Problem Resolved
One of our customers telephoned with a request for a pocket to be sewn into her bra but requesting that we leave the sloping part of the bra towards the centre open as the problem with prosthesis is that with a sewn in pocket causes a shadow and a straight line at the decollete and does not give a flattering shape. Barbara has just 'phoned to say that this has worked perfectly as she can now pull her prosthesis up slightly through the opening and this gives a more natural shape to her bust. Thank you for sharing this Barbara and I do hope that this helps other prosthesis wearers.

Frequently Asked Questions
We often get asked questions regarding fitting and styles so when an email came in from one of our customers I thought that this lady is probably not the only one with similar questions:
'Does each manufacturer have their own blueprint shape, like a shoe last, so that if a Royce bra fits you well then you can pretty well assume that another style from Royce will fit too?'
Answer: Each brand varies in their sizing but within a brand for example Royce, the sizes should be the same or very similar. However, that brand will probably produce bras with different shapes and constructions, and so even though one style may fit you perfectly another style may not. Also, sometimes the dye in black or coloured bras can cause it to be a different size than the white. So, as you have probably gathered, this unfortunately, is not an exact science.
'Are more expensive bras inherently better than cheaper ones? Or is it more a question of luxurious fabrics etc..?
Answer: More expensive bras do tend to give you a better quality fabric, a better shape and this often results in a better fit. This does depend on your bust however, and if you find a bra that you really like that gives you the shape and support that you desire then that is what is most important.

Answer: The shape that fits you depends on your bust. Three sectioned cups have more seams and therefore tend to give more support. But it is also down to individual preference as well, as some people prefer seamless cups etc.. for a more natural and rounded look. You can also gain additional support and shaping in some bras by features such as wings, side boning and side panels. Wires do give you more support underneath your breasts although some people find them uncomfortable - if you have a heavier bust you will need to look for a non wired bra with a good supportive underband have a look at the non wired Glamorise bras which give you the support of the wires without actually having a wire, and have become a very popular brand for us.

Indigestion Cure
I have just had a lovely conversation with one of our customers - Mrs Greer from Leicester - for years this poor lady has suffered from indigestion and acid reflux, preventing her from enjoying a varied diet and a glass of wine. Mrs Greer had tried no end of remedies - some causing some terrible side effects - with little effect, until one day when she was stuck in a traffic jam and the taxi driver offered her his paper to read as a means of passing the time. Mrs Greer read with interest an article written by a doctor who said that wearing underwired bras should be avoided as this did not help the condition. Mrs Greer went home and found a non wired bra that she had in her draw and started wearing it. What relief - it has worked! Mrs Greer feels as though she has got a new life and was bubbling over with the joys of life, no longer having to be careful about what she eats and drinks - and can now enjoy a glass of wine, her husband and friends comment on how well she looks as she is now free from pain. As Ample Bosom stocks Triumph underwear, I was interested to hear that Louise Rednapp, who is currently the face of Triumph lingerie, may be going to present the new series of The Farmer Wants A Wife.
The Farmer Wants A Wife programme is soon to return to our screens with a fresh set of farmers from all over the country looking to find a wife. A few of the farmers come from Yorkshire so it will be interesting to see if the show helps them to find their perfect partner or if John and I, or our two sons, know the farmers on the programme.

Packing Lingerie for A Trip Away Or Holiday Vacation
As many of you will be heading off for your holidays I thought it was worth mentioning a few tips for packing lingerie for a trip away or holiday vacation.
- Separate your lingerie from other clothing so that your delicate underwear doesn't get snagged by zips or marked by shoes.
- Place lingerie items in a separate bag within your suitcase.
- Have a separate bag or compartment for placing dirty underwear so that clean and dirty lingerie is kept separate.
- If travelling with a companion (husband/wife, girlfriend/ boyfriend or close friend) then consider packing half your clothes and lingerie in one suitcase and the other half in the other suitcase, that way if one of your suitcases goes missing you'll still have half your clothes and underwear in one of the suitcases. If both cases go missing then pack a change of clothing and underwear in your hand luggage so you've got a change of clothes at least for one day!
- Pack a spare set of underwear in your hand luggage.
- Consider the type of holiday you are going on and the type of lingerie that will be suitable eg if you are going to a hot country then natural fibres and cotton underwear may be more suitable.
- Briefs can be rolled up and then placed around the edges of the suitcase.

Swimwear Laundry Care
How do you care for your swimwear when it comes to washing your swimsuits, bikinis and tankinis?
Do you hand wash your swimwear garments or do you put them in the washing machine?
Do you use normal washing powders and detergents or do you use special washing powders or detergents?
I have just come across a company that specialises in laundry care detergents and found one specifically for swimwear. The Laundress Swimwear Care. I haven't tried this item yet but thought I would mention it. Has anyone used it?
