Why Don't We See Many Plus Size Swimwear Models?

I am posing this question, Why don't we see many swimwear models? as I recently received a comment on one of my blog posts about slimming swimwear saying,

"One BIG Problem - none of these models is plus size (or anywhere close) " Debbie

Debbie is right that many of the plus size brands do not always use plus size models, but why is this?

Is it because there are not alot of plus size models in the modelling world?
Is it because the public/shoppers don't want to see plus size models?
Is it because the brands don't think that plus size models will sell the swimwear like a smaller model will?

I pose these questions and hope that you will provide your opinions on this subject.

What to look for in a slimming swimsuit:

• A bra inset/moulded cups in the swimsuit - if the bust is lifted then this creates illusion of a slimmer waist.

Lingerie Designs Inspired By Vegetables

It seems that anything can inspire fashion designers to create lingerie, even vegetables!

One Tokyo fashion design student created a multi-layered underwear design in green, that was inspired by a cabbage whilst another design student created underwear entitled "Onion" featuring brown frills. It was the cabbage inspired lingerie design that was picked as this year's winner of a Tokyo lingerie competition organized by underwear manufacturer Triumph.

The Daily Telegraph reports that female police officers in England and Wales have been told not to wear underwired bras on duty in case the force of a bullet drives the wiring into their bodies.

Asda Bring Out A One Price Fits All For Bra Pricing

I have just read that in response to the M & S surcharge on bras in a size DD+, Asda have introduced a One Price fits All Bra Sizes.

It seems that Asda are going to charge one price for all size.

Asda pointed out that men are not charged more for a larger sock sizes so why should bra prices be any different for the larger chested woman?

Marks & Spencers Charge More For Bras In Larger Cup Sizes Than The Same Bras In Smaller Cup Sizes

I have just read in The Daily Telegraph that Marks & Spencer are charging more for a bra in a larger cup size than the same bra in a smaller cup size.

The newspaper article states that "The high street retailer said bigger bras needed more work to develop a greater level of support in the garment and therefore the extra cost was justified."

Is this fair I hear you cry?

Campaigners feel that the store is discriminating against "well-endowed women" especially as it has been pointed out that other items of clothing that M & S sell, such as trousers, are "the same price regardless of size."
